The Mouse CD122 Monoclonal Antibody (PE Conjugated) - 5H4 (AGEL0792) is a valuable tool for researchers studying immune responses and cell signaling pathways. This PE-conjugated monoclonal antibody specifically targets CD122, a receptor subunit involved in cytokine signaling, particularly in the regulation of immune cell function.CD122, also known as the interleukin-2 receptor beta chain, plays a crucial role in the activation and proliferation of T cells and natural killer cells. By specifically targeting CD122, this monoclonal antibody allows for the detection and analysis of this important receptor in various cell types, providing insights into immune response mechanisms. The PE conjugation of this antibody enhances its utility by allowing for flow cytometry applications, enabling researchers to visualize and quantify CD122 expression on cell surfaces with high sensitivity.
This feature makes the 5H4 monoclonal antibody an ideal choice for studies in immunology, infectious diseases, and cancer research.By understanding the role of CD122 in immune regulation and cell signaling, researchers can gain valuable insights into therapeutic strategies for modulating immune responses in conditions such as autoimmune diseases, infectious diseases, and cancer. The Mouse CD122 Monoclonal Antibody (PE Conjugated) - 5H4 (AGEL0792) is a reliable tool for investigating the intricate dynamics of immune cell function and cytokine signaling pathways.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD122 is a 70-75 kD IL-2 receptor β chain also known as IL-2Rβ, which is also shared by the IL-15 receptor. It is constitutively expressed by NK cells and at lower levels by T cells, B cells, monocytes, and macrophages. The IL-2Rβ chain can combine with either the common γ subunit (γc, CD132) alone or with the γc subunit and the IL-2Rα subunit (CD25) to generate intermediate or high affinity IL-2 receptor complexes, respectively. CD122 expression levels can be upregulated by activation. The 5H4 antibody does not block IL-2 binding to the IL-2 receptor. CD122 is expressed on murine, but not human, CD8+ Tregs involved in the maintenance of T cell homeostasis.
