The Mouse CD11a Monoclonal Antibody FITC Conjugated (FD441-8) is a high-quality antibody designed for research applications involving CD11a, a crucial cell adhesion molecule involved in immune response and cell signaling. This monoclonal antibody, derived from hybridoma cells, is optimized for use in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence techniques for the detection and analysis of CD11a expression in mouse samples.CD11a, also known as integrin alpha L, plays a key role in leukocyte function, mediating adhesion interactions and signaling pathways essential for immune responses. The FITC conjugation of this antibody allows for fluorescent labeling, enabling precise visualization and quantification of CD11a in various cell populations.
This feature makes it a valuable tool for immunology studies, inflammatory disease research, and investigations into immune cell behavior.By targeting CD11a, researchers can gain insights into immune cell activation, migration, and interaction within the immune system, making this antibody an essential asset for advancing understanding in fields such as immunology, inflammation, and autoimmune disorders. Its specificity and reliability make it a dependable reagent for studies aimed at uncovering the roles and mechanisms of CD11a in health and disease.

Background:
CD11a is a 180 kD glycoprotein, also known as αL integrin, LFA-1 α, Ly-15, or Ly-21. It is a member of the integrin family, primarily expressed on lymphocytes, monocytes/macrophages, and granulocytes. In association with CD18, the CD11a/CD18 complex forms LFA-1. CD11a plays an important role in intercellular adhesion and costimulation by binding its ligands, ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), and ICAM-3 (CD50).
