The Mouse CD115 Monoclonal Antibody PE-conjugated (AFS98) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the CD115 protein, also known as colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R). This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with phycoerythrin (PE), specifically recognizes and binds to the CD115 protein in mouse samples, allowing for precise detection and analysis in flow cytometry and other immunological assays.CD115 is a transmembrane receptor necessary for the differentiation, proliferation, and survival of monocytes and macrophages. It plays a crucial role in the development and function of the immune system, making it a key target for research in immunology, inflammation, and cancer biology.
By utilizing the Mouse CD115 Monoclonal Antibody PE-conjugated (AFS98), researchers can explore the expression and activity of CD115 in various cell types, aiding in the understanding of its roles in immune responses and disease pathways. This antibody is well-suited for experiments requiring highly specific and reliable detection of CD115 in mouse samples, offering a high level of sensitivity and reproducibility. With its validated performance in flow cytometry and other immunological techniques, the Mouse CD115 Monoclonal Antibody PE-conjugated (AFS98) is an essential tool for advancing research in immunology and related fields.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use. We suggest each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results [The recommended concentration is 0.1-1 μg/106 cells in 100 μL volume].

Background:
CSF-1R, also known as CD115 and M-CSFR, is a single-pass type I membrane protein and member of the platelet-derived growth factor receptor family. This c-fms (Fms proto-oncogene) gene product's natural ligands include M-CSF and IL-34. Structural studies of CD115 have described an Ig-like extracellular domain, a transmembrane domain, an intracellular juxtamembrane domain, a split tyrosine kinase domain, and a C-terminal tail receptor. Receptor activation induces homodimerization in addition to phosphorylation and ubiquitination of intracellular residues. CD115 directly influences tissue macrophage and osteoclast differentiation and proliferation. It is expressed on monocytes/macrophages, peritoneal exudate cells, plasmacytoid and conventional dendritic cells, and osteoclasts.
