The Monkey LBP (Lipopolysaccharide-binding Protein) ELISA Kit is specifically designed for the accurate detection of lipopolysaccharide-binding protein levels in monkey serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. This kit offers high sensitivity and specificity, ensuring reliable and reproducible results, making it an essential tool for research in immunology and infectious diseases.Lipopolysaccharide-binding protein plays a critical role in the innate immune response to bacterial infections by binding to and neutralizing lipopolysaccharides, a component of bacterial cell walls.
Dysregulation of LBP levels has been implicated in various inflammatory conditions and sepsis, making it a valuable biomarker for understanding and monitoring these disease processes.Overall, the Monkey LBP ELISA Kit provides researchers with a valuable tool for studying the role of lipopolysaccharide-binding protein in immune responses and infectious diseases in monkey models, ultimately contributing to advancements in the field of immunology.
This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Monkey LBP. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Monkey LBP and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Monkey LBP, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Monkey LBP. You can calculate the concentration of Monkey LBP in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
