The MMP9 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB0289) is a valuable tool for researchers studying matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP9), an enzyme involved in tissue remodeling and inflammation. This antibody, raised in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the MMP9 protein, this antibody enables researchers to detect and analyze MMP9 expression in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for studies in immunology, oncology, and inflammatory diseases.MMP9 is a key player in processes such as wound healing, angiogenesis, and tumor progression.
Dysregulation of MMP9 has been implicated in various pathological conditions, including cancer metastasis and chronic inflammatory disorders. Understanding the role of MMP9 in these processes is crucial for developing targeted therapies aimed at modulating its activity for therapeutic benefit.Overall, the MMP9 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB0289) is a valuable tool for researchers seeking to unravel the complex roles of MMP9 in health and disease, paving the way for the development of novel treatment strategies.

Proteins of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes, such as arthritis and metastasis. Most MMP's are secreted as inactive proproteins which are activated when cleaved by extracellular proteinases. The enzyme encoded by this gene degrades type IV and V collagens. Studies in rhesus monkeys suggest that the enzyme is involved in IL-8-induced mobilization of hematopoietic progenitor cells from bone marrow, and murine studies suggest a role in tumor-associated tissue remodeling.
