The MMP13 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB11755) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Matrix Metalloproteinase 13 (MMP13), an enzyme involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in various physiological and pathological processes. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.MMP13 is known for its role in tissue remodeling, wound healing, and cancer metastasis, making it a key target for research in the fields of oncology and tissue biology. By detecting and targeting MMP13, researchers can gain insights into its function and potential as a therapeutic target in diseases such as arthritis, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer.
By utilizing the MMP13 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can accurately analyze MMP13 expression in different cell types and tissues, contributing to a better understanding of its role in disease progression and potential treatment strategies. This antibody is a valuable tool for studies focusing on the mechanisms of extracellular matrix degradation and tissue remodeling in various physiological and pathological conditions.

This gene encodes a member of the peptidase M10 family of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). Proteins in this family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes, such as arthritis and metastasis. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate the mature protease. This protease cleaves type II collagen more efficiently than types I and III. It may be involved in articular cartilage turnover and cartilage pathophysiology associated with osteoarthritis. Mutations in this gene are associated with metaphyseal anadysplasia. This gene is part of a cluster of MMP genes on chromosome 11.
