The MMP1 Polyclonal Antibody (AB12345) is a high-quality research tool designed for the detection and analysis of Matrix Metalloproteinase 1 (MMP1) protein in various biological samples. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human MMP1, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications.MMP1 is a key enzyme involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix proteins, playing a crucial role in tissue remodeling, wound healing, and disease progression. Elevated levels of MMP1 have been associated with various pathologies, including cancer, arthritis, and cardiovascular diseases.
Therefore, the MMP1 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for studying the expression and function of MMP1 in these contexts.By enabling the precise detection and analysis of MMP1 protein, this antibody facilitates research in fields such as cancer biology, tissue regeneration, and inflammatory disorders. Its reliability and specificity make it an essential component for any study aiming to elucidate the role of MMP1 in physiological and pathological processes.

This gene encodes a member of the peptidase M10 family of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). Proteins in this family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes, such as arthritis and metastasis. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate the mature protease. This secreted protease breaks down the interstitial collagens, including types I, II, and III. The gene is part of a cluster of MMP genes on chromosome 11. Mutations in this gene are associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, at least one of which encodes an isoform that is proteolytically processed.
