The MMP-1 Monoclonal Antibody (ABMAB-0035) from Assay Genie is a valuable tool for researchers studying matrix metalloproteinase 1 (MMP-1), an enzyme involved in tissue remodeling and inflammation. This antibody, generated through mouse hybridoma technology, offers high specificity and sensitivity for detecting MMP-1 in a variety of samples.MMP-1, also known as collagenase-1, plays a crucial role in degrading collagen in the extracellular matrix, contributing to processes such as wound healing, tissue repair, and angiogenesis. Dysregulation of MMP-1 activity has been implicated in a range of diseases, including arthritis, cancer, and cardiovascular disorders.
By targeting MMP-1, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying these pathological conditions and explore potential therapeutic interventions. With its ability to accurately detect MMP-1 protein expression, the MMP-1 Monoclonal Antibody is a valuable asset for studies in cancer biology, inflammation, and tissue remodeling. Its reliable performance in techniques such as Western blotting and immunohistochemistry makes it an essential tool for advancing research in these fields. Explore the potential of MMP-1 research with Assay Genie's MMP-1 Monoclonal Antibody.

This gene encodes a member of the peptidase M10 family of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). Proteins in this family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes, such as arthritis and metastasis. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate the mature protease. This secreted protease breaks down the interstitial collagens, including types I, II, and III. The gene is part of a cluster of MMP genes on chromosome 11. Mutations in this gene are associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, at least one of which encodes an isoform that is proteolytically processed.
