Description
MFAP4 Monoclonal Antibody [PAT12D11AT] (CPAB0591)
The MFAP4 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0591) is designed for research involving MFAP4, a glycoprotein found in the extracellular matrix with roles in elastic fiber assembly and tissue remodeling. The antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific for human MFAP4 and is validated for use in various applications, including Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA.MFAP4 is known to be involved in the regulation of cell adhesion, migration, and proliferation, making it a key player in processes such as wound healing and tissue repair. Its expression has also been linked to various diseases, including fibrosis and cardiovascular disorders, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions.
By using the MFAP4 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can further investigate the function and regulation of MFAP4 in different cell types and tissues, leading to a better understanding of its roles in health and disease. This antibody is an essential tool for studies in cell biology, molecular biology, and pathology, aiming to unravel the complexity of MFAP4-mediated processes.

Background: | Microfibrillar-associated protein 4 (MFAP4) is a member of Fibrinogen protein family and contains 1 fibrinogen C-terminal domain. The MFAP4 protein has similarity to a bovine microfibril-associated protein. MFAP4 has binding specificities for both collagen and carbohydrate. MFAP4 is believed to be an extracellular matrix protein that is involved in cell adhesion or intercellular interactions. MFAP4 deletion was found in 30 of 31 Smith-Magenis syndrome (SMS) patients. |
Synonyms: | Microfibrillar-Associated Protein 4, Microfibril-Associated Glycoprotein 4. |
Storage Buffer: | For periods up to 1 month store at 4°C, for longer periods of time, store at -20°C. Prevent freeze thaw cycles. |
