The MED7 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16088) is a vital tool for researchers studying the MED7 protein, a subunit of the Mediator complex involved in transcriptional regulation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the MED7 protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its presence in a variety of cell types. The MED7 protein plays a crucial role in gene regulation and transcriptional activation, making it a key target for studies in molecular biology and gene expression.
Understanding the function and regulation of MED7 can provide valuable insights into various biological processes, including development, differentiation, and disease progression. With its versatility and reliability, the MED7 Polyclonal Antibody is an indispensable tool for researchers investigating the complex mechanisms of gene expression.

The activation of gene transcription is a multistep process that is triggered by factors that recognize transcriptional enhancer sites in DNA. These factors work with co-activators to direct transcriptional initiation by the RNA polymerase II apparatus. The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of the CRSP (cofactor required for SP1 activation) complex, which, along with TFIID, is required for efficient activation by SP1. This protein is also a component of other multisubunit complexes e.g. thyroid hormone receptor-(TR-) associated proteins which interact with TR and facilitate TR function on DNA templates in conjunction with initiation factors and cofactors. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.
