The MCM3 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody is a powerful tool for researchers studying MCM3, a key protein involved in DNA replication and cell cycle regulation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human MCM3 and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the MCM3 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it an invaluable resource for studies in molecular biology and cancer research.MCM3 is a critical component of the MCM complex, which plays a crucial role in DNA replication and ensuring genomic stability.
Dysregulation of MCM3 has been implicated in various cancers, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions. By understanding the function of MCM3, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms of cancer development and potentially identify new treatment strategies. Overall, the MCM3 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody offers researchers a reliable tool for investigating the role of MCM3 in cellular processes and disease states, advancing our understanding of molecular biology and contributing to the development of novel therapeutic approaches.

The protein encoded by this gene is one of the highly conserved mini-chromosome maintenance proteins (MCM) that are involved in the initiation of eukaryotic genome replication. The hexameric protein complex formed by MCM proteins is a key component of the pre-replication complex (pre_RC) and may be involved in the formation of replication forks and in the recruitment of other DNA replication related proteins. This protein is a subunit of the protein complex that consists of MCM2-7. It has been shown to interact directly with MCM5/CDC46. This protein also interacts with and is acetylated by MCM3AP, a chromatin-associated acetyltransferase. The acetylation of this protein inhibits the initiation of DNA replication and cell cycle progression. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
