The MBD3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2251) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the role of MBD3 in epigenetic regulation and gene expression. MBD3, a member of the Methyl-CpG binding domain (MBD) family, is involved in mediating the effects of DNA methylation on chromatin structure and transcription. This antibody, raised in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards human MBD3 protein, making it suitable for Western blot applications. By targeting MBD3, researchers can investigate its role in various cellular processes, including development, differentiation, and disease progression.
The versatility of the MBD3 Polyclonal Antibody makes it an essential reagent for studies in epigenetics, stem cell biology, and cancer research. Understanding the functions of MBD3 and its interactions with other epigenetic regulators is crucial for advancing our knowledge of gene regulation mechanisms and developing targeted therapies for various diseases.

DNA methylation is the major modification of eukaryotic genomes and plays an essential role in mammalian development. This gene belongs to a family of nuclear proteins which are characterized by the presence of a methyl-CpG binding domain (MBD). The encoded protein is a subunit of the NuRD, a multisubunit complex containing nucleosome remodeling and histone deacetylase activities. Unlike the other family members, the encoded protein is not capable of binding to methylated DNA. The protein mediates the association of metastasis-associated protein 2 with the core histone deacetylase complex. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants of this gene.
