The MATK Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6651) is a valuable tool for researchers studying MATK, a non-receptor tyrosine kinase involved in signaling pathways related to cell growth, differentiation, and survival. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.MATK, also known as megakaryocyte-associated tyrosine kinase, plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including cell migration, adhesion, and cytoskeletal rearrangement.
Dysregulation of MATK has been implicated in cancer progression and metastasis, making it a promising target for cancer research.By binding to the MATK protein, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of MATK expression in different cell types, providing researchers with valuable insights into its functions and potential therapeutic applications. Its versatility and specificity make it an essential tool for studies in molecular biology, cancer biology, and cell signaling pathways.

Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 352-466 of human MATK (NP_647611.1).
The protein encoded by this gene has amino acid sequence similarity to Csk tyrosine kinase and has the structural features of the CSK subfamily: SRC homology SH2 and SH3 domains, a catalytic domain, a unique N terminus, lack of myristylation signals, lack of a negative regulatory phosphorylation site, and lack of an autophosphorylation site. This protein is thought to play a significant role in the signal transduction of hematopoietic cells. It is able to phosphorylate and inactivate Src family kinases, and may play an inhibitory role in the control of T-cell proliferation. This protein might be involved in signaling in some cases of breast cancer. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different isoforms have been described for this gene.
