The MAT1A Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2630) is a valuable tool for researchers studying MAT1A, a key enzyme involved in methionine metabolism and liver function. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for detecting MAT1A in human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications.MAT1A plays a crucial role in maintaining liver health and has been implicated in various liver diseases, including cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.
By targeting MAT1A, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying these conditions and potentially identify new therapeutic targets. With its ability to accurately detect MAT1A in a variety of cell types, the MAT1A Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for studies investigating liver metabolism, liver diseases, and potential therapeutic interventions. Researchers can trust in the reliability and performance of this antibody for their research needs.
Product Name:
MAT1A Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB2630
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-395 of human MAT1A (NP_000420.1).
This gene catalyzes a two-step reaction that involves the transfer of the adenosyl moiety of ATP to methionine to form S-adenosylmethionine and tripolyphosphate, which is subsequently cleaved to PPi and Pi. S-adenosylmethionine is the source of methyl groups for most biological methylations. The encoded protein is found as a homotetramer (MAT I) or a homodimer (MAT III) whereas a third form, MAT II (gamma), is encoded by the MAT2A gene. Mutations in this gene are associated with methionine adenosyltransferase deficiency.
