The MAPKAPK2 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the MAPKAPK2 protein, which plays a crucial role in signaling pathways regulating cell growth, differentiation, and stress responses. This antibody, developed using rabbit immunization, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications.MAPKAPK2, also known as MAP kinase-activated protein kinase 2, is a key downstream target of p38 MAPK and is involved in the regulation of various cellular processes, including gene expression, protein synthesis, and cytoskeletal reorganization.
Dysregulation of MAPKAPK2 has been linked to diseases such as cancer, inflammation, and neurodegenerative disorders, making it an important target for therapeutic intervention.By using the MAPKAPK2 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can detect and analyze the expression of MAPKAPK2 in different cell types and tissue samples, providing valuable insights into its function in normal physiology and disease pathology. This antibody is a valuable tool for studying the molecular mechanisms underlying MAPKAPK2 signaling and developing novel therapeutic strategies targeting this protein.

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 300-400 of human MAPKAPK-2/MK2 (NP_116584.2).
This gene encodes a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. This kinase is regulated through direct phosphorylation by p38 MAP kinase. In conjunction with p38 MAP kinase, this kinase is known to be involved in many cellular processes including stress and inflammatory responses, nuclear export, gene expression regulation and cell proliferation. Heat shock protein HSP27 was shown to be one of the substrates of this kinase in vivo. Two transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene.
