Description
LTB Antibody (PACO01032)
The LTB Antibody (PACO01032) is a polyclonal antibody designed for research involving LTB, a protein involved in immune regulation and inflammatory responses. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly reactive with human samples and is validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting and immunohistochemistry.LTB, also known as Lymphotoxin-beta, is a cytokine involved in the regulation of immune responses and inflammation. It plays a critical role in immune homeostasis by modulating the activity of immune cells and promoting inflammatory processes.
Understanding the function of LTB is important for research into autoimmune disorders, chronic inflammatory conditions, and diseases like cancer. This antibody specifically binds to LTB, enabling detection and analysis in a variety of cell types. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal tool for studies in immunology, inflammation, and cancer research. By targeting LTB, researchers can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying immune regulation and inflammatory diseases, ultimately leading to the development of novel therapeutic strategies.

UniProt Protein Function: | LTB: Cytokine that binds to LTBR/TNFRSF3. May play a specific role in immune response regulation. Provides the membrane anchor for the attachment of the heterotrimeric complex to the cell surface. Isoform 2 is probably non-functional. Belongs to the tumor necrosis factor family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. |

NCBI Summary: | Lymphotoxin beta is a type II membrane protein of the TNF family. It anchors lymphotoxin-alpha to the cell surface through heterotrimer formation. The predominant form on the lymphocyte surface is the lymphotoxin-alpha 1/beta 2 complex (e.g. 1 molecule alpha/2 molecules beta) and this complex is the primary ligand for the lymphotoxin-beta receptor. The minor complex is lymphotoxin-alpha 2/beta 1. LTB is an inducer of the inflammatory response system and involved in normal development of lymphoid tissue. Lymphotoxin-beta isoform b is unable to complex with lymphotoxin-alpha suggesting a function for lymphotoxin-beta which is independent of lympyhotoxin-alpha. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] |
