Description
LSM2 Monoclonal Antibody [PAT2B2AT] (CPAB0457)
The LSM2 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0457) is a valuable tool for researchers studying LSM2, a protein involved in RNA processing and regulation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, demonstrates high specificity and sensitivity towards human samples, allowing for accurate detection and analysis in various experimental settings such as Western blot applications. LSM2 is an essential component of the Sm complex, which is critical for mRNA splicing and maturation. Dysregulation of LSM2 has been associated with various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.
Therefore, studying the function and expression of LSM2 is crucial for understanding its role in these pathological conditions and potentially identifying therapeutic targets. With its ability to specifically bind to LSM2, the CPAB0457 antibody enables researchers to investigate the function and localization of LSM2 in different cell types and tissues. By elucidating the mechanisms of LSM2 in RNA metabolism, this antibody serves as a valuable tool in advancing research in molecular biology, oncology, and neurology.

Background: | LSM2 is a member of the snRNP Sm proteins family. Sm-like proteins are branded in several organisms based on sequence homology with the Sm protein family. Sm-like proteins hold the Sm sequence motif that is made up of 2 regions separated by a linker of variable length which folds as a loop. The Sm-like proteins are believed to create a steady heteromer present in tri-snRNP particles, which are vital for pre-mRNA splicing. LSM2 binds specifically to the 3'-terminal U-tract of U6 snRNA nad takes part in pre-mRNA splicing. |
