The LITAF Polyclonal Antibody (CAB5469) is a vital tool for researchers studying LITAF, a transcription factor involved in immune responses and inflammation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific and reliable for use in various research applications, particularly in immunology and cancer studies. It is validated for Western blotting, enabling the detection and analysis of LITAF protein in human samples and various cell types.LITAF, also known as lipopolysaccharide-induced TNF-alpha factor, is a key player in the regulation of inflammatory responses and immune activation.
Its role in immune signaling pathways makes it a promising target for investigating diseases such as cancer, infectious diseases, and autoimmune disorders. Through the use of the LITAF Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the function and regulation of LITAF, ultimately paving the way for the development of novel therapeutic strategies targeting this important molecule.

Lipopolysaccharide is a potent stimulator of monocytes and macrophages, causing secretion of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) and other inflammatory mediators. This gene encodes lipopolysaccharide-induced TNF-alpha factor, which is a DNA-binding protein and can mediate the TNF-alpha expression by direct binding to the promoter region of the TNF-alpha gene. The transcription of this gene is induced by tumor suppressor p53 and has been implicated in the p53-induced apoptotic pathway. Mutations in this gene cause Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 1C (CMT1C) and may be involved in the carcinogenesis of extramammary Paget's disease (EMPD). Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
