Description
LITAF Monoclonal Antibody [PAT5C10AT] (CPAB0072)
The LITAF Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0072) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the LPS-induced TNF-alpha factor (LITAF) protein. LITAF is known to play a role in immune responses, particularly in the activation of proinflammatory cytokines. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive towards human samples, making it ideal for Western blot applications.By binding to the LITAF protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of LITAF expression in various cell types. Its use is particularly beneficial in immunology and cancer research, where understanding LITAF's role in immune regulation and inflammation can lead to insights into diseases such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, and chronic inflammatory conditions.
With its high specificity and reactivity, the LITAF Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers looking to delve deeper into the mechanisms of immune response modulation and inflammation, paving the way for potential therapeutic interventions in various disease contexts.

Background: | Lipopolysaccharide is a potent stimulator of monocytes and macrophages, causing secretion of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) and other inflammatory mediators. LITAF is a lipopolysaccharide-induced TNF-alpha factor, which is a DNA-binding protein and can mediate the TNF-alpha expression by direct binding to the promoter region of the TNF-alpha gene. The transcription of the LITAF gene is induced by tumor suppressor p53 and has been implicated in the p53-induced apoptotic pathway. Mutations in the LITAF gene cause Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 1C (CMT1C) and may be involved in the carcinogenesis of extramammary Paget''s disease (EMPD). |
