The Lipocalin-2 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody is a high-quality antibody designed for research involving Lipocalin-2, a protein involved in various physiological processes such as iron transport, cell growth, and immune responses. This antibody, developed using rabbit monoclonal technology, is highly reactive with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence applications.Lipocalin-2, also known as neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL), has been implicated in various disease states including cancer, kidney diseases, and inflammatory conditions. The ability of this antibody to specifically bind to Lipocalin-2 allows for accurate detection and analysis of the protein in different cell types and tissues, making it an ideal tool for researchers in fields such as immunology, oncology, and nephrology.
Understanding the role of Lipocalin-2 in disease pathogenesis and progression is crucial for developing targeted therapies and diagnostics. By using the Lipocalin-2 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying these conditions and potentially identify novel therapeutic targets for future intervention strategies.

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 1-100 of human Lipocalin-2/NGAL (P80188).
This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the lipocalin family. Members of this family transport small hydrophobic molecules such as lipids, steroid hormones and retinoids. The protein encoded by this gene is a neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin and plays a role in innate immunity by limiting bacterial growth as a result of sequestering iron-containing siderophores. The presence of this protein in blood and urine is an early biomarker of acute kidney injury. This protein is thought to be be involved in multiple cellular processes, including maintenance of skin homeostasis, and suppression of invasiveness and metastasis. Mice lacking this gene are more susceptible to bacterial infection than wild type mice.
