The LIMS1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB13917) is a valuable tool for researchers studying LIMS1, a protein involved in cell adhesion and cytoskeletal organization. This antibody, produced in rabbits, specifically targets LIMS1 in human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to LIMS1, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis of the protein in various cell types, making it a key asset for studies in cell biology and cancer research.LIMS1, also known as PINCH-1, plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and migration, particularly in the context of integrin signaling pathways.
It is implicated in processes such as cell spreading, focal adhesion turnover, and mechanotransduction, making it a key player in cell motility and invasion. Understanding the function of LIMS1 is essential for unraveling the mechanisms underlying cancer metastasis and other pathological processes involving aberrant cell adhesion.Gain insights into the role of LIMS1 in cellular signaling and cytoskeletal dynamics with the LIMS1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB13917). Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an excellent choice for researchers investigating the functions of LIMS1 in health and disease.

The protein encoded by this gene is an adaptor protein which contains five LIM domains, or double zinc fingers. The protein is likely involved in integrin signaling through its LIM domain-mediated interaction with integrin-linked kinase, found in focal adhesion plaques. It is also thought to act as a bridge linking integrin-linked kinase to NCK adaptor protein 2, which is involved in growth factor receptor kinase signaling pathways. Its localization to the periphery of spreading cells also suggests that this protein may play a role in integrin-mediated cell adhesion or spreading. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
