Based on the information in the provided URL, the LILRB5 Antibody (PACO03371) is a polyclonal antibody designed for research involving LILRB5, a cell surface molecule with immunoregulatory functions. This antibody, raised in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting.LILRB5 is a member of the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor (LILR) family, also known as the immunoglobulin-like transcript (ILT) family, and is involved in immune regulation by inhibiting immune responses. It plays a critical role in modulating immune cell activity and is implicated in processes such as inflammation and immune tolerance.
The LILRB5 Antibody is a valuable tool for studying the function of LILRB5 in immunology and cancer research. Its ability to bind specifically to the LILRB5 protein enables the detection and analysis of this receptor in different cell types, providing insights into its role in mediating immune responses.Overall, the LILRB5 Antibody opens up opportunities for investigating the role of LILRB5 in various physiological and pathological conditions, offering a deeper understanding of immune regulation and potential therapeutic targets for diseases such as cancer and autoimmune disorders.

NCBI Summary:
This gene is a member of the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor (LIR) family, which is found in a gene cluster at chromosomal region 19q13.4. The encoded protein belongs to the subfamily B class of LIR receptors which contain two or four extracellular immunoglobulin domains, a transmembrane domain, and two to four cytoplasmic immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIMs). Several other LIR subfamily B receptors are expressed on immune cells where they bind to MHC class I molecules on antigen-presenting cells and inhibit stimulation of an immune response. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
