The Lect1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6644) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Lect1, a secreted protein involved in various biological processes, including tissue development and immune response modulation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.Lect1, also known as chondromodulin-I, has been shown to play a key role in regulating cell growth, differentiation, and angiogenesis, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions in conditions such as cancer and musculoskeletal disorders.
By specifically binding to Lect1, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis of the protein in different cell types, making it an essential component in studies related to developmental biology, oncology, and regenerative medicine.Researchers interested in unraveling the intricacies of Lect1 function and its implications in various biological processes will find the Lect1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6644) to be a reliable and efficient tool for their experiments and investigations.

This gene encodes a glycosylated transmembrane protein that is cleaved to form a mature, secreted protein. The N-terminus of the precursor protein shares characteristics with other surfactant proteins and is sometimes called chondrosurfactant protein although no biological activity has yet been defined for it. The C-terminus of the precursor protein contains a 25 kDa mature protein called leukocyte cell-derived chemotaxin-1 or chondromodulin-1. The mature protein promotes chondrocyte growth and inhibits angiogenesis. This gene is expressed in the avascular zone of prehypertrophic cartilage and its expression decreases during chondrocyte hypertrophy and vascular invasion. The mature protein likely plays a role in endochondral bone development by permitting cartilaginous anlagen to be vascularized and replaced by bone. It may be involved also in the broad control of tissue vascularization during development. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
