The LDHB Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7625) offered by AssayGenie is a valuable tool for researchers studying LDHB, a key enzyme involved in the glycolytic pathway. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is optimized for use in Western blotting applications. By targeting the LDHB protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its expression in various cell types, making it an essential reagent for studies in metabolism, cancer research, and other related fields.LDHB, also known as lactate dehydrogenase B, plays a crucial role in converting lactate to pyruvate during glycolysis, contributing to energy production in cells.
Dysregulation of LDHB has been linked to metabolic disorders, cancer progression, and other diseases, making it a promising therapeutic target. By understanding the function and regulation of LDHB, researchers can uncover potential treatment strategies for metabolic diseases and cancer.Overall, the LDHB Polyclonal Antibody from AssayGenie is a reliable tool for investigating the role of LDHB in various biological processes, providing researchers with valuable insights into metabolic pathways and potential therapeutic interventions.

This gene encodes the B subunit of lactate dehydrogenase enzyme, which catalyzes the interconversion of pyruvate and lactate with concomitant interconversion of NADH and NAD+ in a post-glycolysis process. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. Recent studies have shown that a C-terminally extended isoform is produced by use of an alternative in-frame translation termination codon via a stop codon readthrough mechanism, and that this isoform is localized in the peroxisomes. Mutations in this gene are associated with lactate dehydrogenase B deficiency. Pseudogenes have been identified on chromosomes X, 5 and 13.
