The LDB3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7462) is a valuable tool for researchers studying LDB3, a protein essential for muscle structure and function. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards human samples, making it ideal for Western blot applications. By binding to LDB3, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis of LDB3 expression in various cell types.LDB3, also known as Cypher/ZASP, is a key component of the sarcomeric Z-disc in muscle cells, where it plays a crucial role in maintaining muscle integrity and function. Mutations in the LDB3 gene have been linked to various muscle disorders, including muscular dystrophy and cardiomyopathy.
By studying the expression and function of LDB3, researchers can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying these disorders and potentially develop targeted therapies.Overall, the LDB3 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers interested in studying the role of LDB3 in muscle biology and disease pathogenesis. Its high reactivity and specificity make it a reliable reagent for investigating LDB3 expression and function in both normal and diseased tissues.

This gene encodes a PDZ domain-containing protein. PDZ motifs are modular protein-protein interaction domains consisting of 80-120 amino acid residues. PDZ domain-containing proteins interact with each other in cytoskeletal assembly or with other proteins involved in targeting and clustering of membrane proteins. The protein encoded by this gene interacts with alpha-actinin-2 through its N-terminal PDZ domain and with protein kinase C via its C-terminal LIM domains. The LIM domain is a cysteine-rich motif defined by 50-60 amino acids containing two zinc-binding modules. This protein also interacts with all three members of the myozenin family. Mutations in this gene have been associated with myofibrillar myopathy and dilated cardiomyopathy. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified; all isoforms have N-terminal PDZ domains while only longer isoforms (1, 2 and 5) have C-terminal LIM domains.
