The Lipocalin-1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB9828) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Lipocalin-1, a protein that plays a key role in various physiological processes such as inflammation, immune response, and transport of small hydrophobic molecules. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to Lipocalin-1 and has been validated for use in Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications.Lipocalin-1, also known as Lcn1, is involved in the innate immune response and has been implicated in several diseases, including kidney disease, cancer, and inflammatory conditions.
By targeting Lipocalin-1 with this antibody, researchers can gain insights into its function and role in disease pathogenesis, potentially leading to the development of novel therapeutic strategies. This antibody's high reactivity with human samples makes it a valuable tool for biomedical research, particularly in the fields of immunology, oncology, and nephrology. By detecting and analyzing Lipocalin-1 expression in various cell types, this antibody can provide valuable information for understanding disease mechanisms and identifying new therapeutic targets.

This gene encodes a member of the lipocalin family of small secretory proteins. Lipocalins are extracellular transport proteins that bind to a variety of hydrophobic ligands. The encoded protein is the primary lipid binding protein in tears and is overproduced in response to multiple stimuli including infection and stress. The encoded protein may be a marker for chromosome aneuploidy as well as an autoantigen in Sjogren's syndrome. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene, and two pseudogenes of this gene are also located on the long arm of chromosome 9.
