The LAT Polyclonal Antibody (CAB5650) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Linker for Activation of T-cells (LAT), a key signaling molecule involved in T-cell activation and immune response. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to LAT protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis of LAT expression in various cell types.LAT is essential for transmitting signals from the T-cell receptor to downstream signaling pathways, leading to T-cell activation and cytokine production.
Dysregulation of LAT signaling has been implicated in various autoimmune disorders, inflammatory conditions, and cancer progression. By studying LAT expression and activity using this antibody, researchers can gain insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying these diseases and potentially identify novel therapeutic targets for intervention.

The protein encoded by this gene is phosphorylated by ZAP-70/Syk protein tyrosine kinases following activation of the T-cell antigen receptor (TCR) signal transduction pathway. This transmembrane protein localizes to lipid rafts and acts as a docking site for SH2 domain-containing proteins. Upon phosphorylation, this protein recruits multiple adaptor proteins and downstream signaling molecules into multimolecular signaling complexes located near the site of TCR engagement. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
