The LALBA Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6233) is specifically designed for research involving LALBA, a key protein involved in the production of lactose in mammalian mammary glands. This antibody, raised in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in various applications such as Western blotting.LALBA, also known as lactalbumin alpha, plays a vital role in lactose synthesis and secretion in lactating mammary glands. Understanding the mechanisms and regulation of LALBA expression is essential for studying lactation, milk production, and the development of dairy products.
This antibody enables the detection and analysis of LALBA protein levels in different cell types, making it a valuable tool for research in the fields of dairy science and lactation biology.Researchers interested in studying lactation, milk production, and mammary gland development will find the LALBA Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6233) to be a reliable and effective tool for their experiments. Its specificity and sensitivity make it ideal for investigating the role of LALBA in various physiological and pathological conditions related to lactation and milk production.

This gene encodes alpha-lactalbumin, a principal protein of milk. Alpha-lactalbumin forms the regulatory subunit of the lactose synthase (LS) heterodimer and beta 1,4-galactosyltransferase (beta4Gal-T1) forms the catalytic component. Together, these proteins enable LS to produce lactose by transfering galactose moieties to glucose. As a monomer, alpha-lactalbumin strongly binds calcium and zinc ions and may possess bactericidal or antitumor activity. A folding variant of alpha-lactalbumin, called HAMLET, likely induces apoptosis in tumor and immature cells.
