Description
KRT20 Monoclonal Antibody [PAT10D8AT] (CPAB0626)
The KRT20 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0626) is a powerful tool for researchers studying KRT20, a protein that plays a key role in the structure and function of epithelial cells. This antibody is developed using rabbit polyclonal antibodies that specifically target KRT20 in human samples, making it an ideal choice for studies involving Western blot applications.KRT20, also known as cytokeratin 20, is a marker for distinguishing different types of epithelial cells and has been linked to various cancers, particularly colorectal cancer. By using the KRT20 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can effectively detect and analyze KRT20 expression in a variety of cell types, providing valuable insights into cell differentiation, tissue development, and disease progression.
The versatility and specificity of the KRT20 Polyclonal Antibody make it a valuable tool for researchers in the fields of cell biology, cancer research, and biomarker discovery. By targeting KRT20, researchers can gain a deeper understanding of epithelial cell function and its role in disease, potentially leading to the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.

Background: | KRT20 is a member of the keratin family. The keratins are intermediate filament proteins responsible for the structural integrity of epithelial cells and are subdivided into cytokeratins and hair keratins. The type I cytokeratins consist of acidic proteins which are arranged in pairs of heterotypic keratin chains. This cytokeratin is a major cellular protein of mature enterocytes and goblet cells and is specifically expressed in the gastric and intestinal mucosa. The type I cytokeratin genes are clustered in a region of chromosome 17q12-q21. |
