The KRT19 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB0247) is specifically designed for research involving KRT19, a member of the keratin protein family that is primarily expressed in epithelial cells. This antibody, raised in rabbits, has high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in various applications, including Western blot and immunohistochemistry.KRT19 is an intermediate filament protein that plays a critical role in maintaining the structural integrity of epithelial cells. Dysregulation of KRT19 expression has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and liver disease. By targeting KRT19 with this antibody, researchers can study its expression levels and localization in different cell types, making it a valuable tool for studies in cell biology and pathology.
Furthermore, understanding the role of KRT19 in disease progression can lead to the development of targeted therapies that specifically inhibit or modulate its activity, offering new treatment options for patients with KRT19-related conditions. In summary, the KRT19 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB0247) is a valuable resource for researchers looking to investigate the functions and implications of KRT19 in health and disease.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the keratin family. The keratins are intermediate filament proteins responsible for the structural integrity of epithelial cells and are subdivided into cytokeratins and hair keratins. The type I cytokeratins consist of acidic proteins which are arranged in pairs of heterotypic keratin chains. Unlike its related family members, this smallest known acidic cytokeratin is not paired with a basic cytokeratin in epithelial cells. It is specifically expressed in the periderm, the transiently superficial layer that envelopes the developing epidermis. The type I cytokeratins are clustered in a region of chromosome 17q12-q21.
