Description
KRT19 Monoclonal Antibody [PAT13D10A] (CPAB0579)
The KRT19 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0579) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the keratin 19 protein, a key component of the intermediate filaments in epithelial cells. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting.Keratin 19 is important for maintaining the structural integrity of epithelial tissues and is involved in cell proliferation and differentiation. Abnormalities in keratin 19 expression have been linked to various diseases, including cancer and liver disorders.
By using the KRT19 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can detect and analyze the expression of keratin 19 in different cell types, aiding in the investigation of its role in disease development and progression. The KRT19 Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable tool for immunology and cancer research, providing valuable insights into the function of keratin 19 in normal and diseased tissues. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it a preferred choice for studying the role of keratin 19 in various biological processes.

Background: | CTK-19 is a member of the keratin family. The keratins are intermediate filament proteins responsible for the structural integrity of epithelial cells and are subdivided into cytokeratins and hair keratins. The type I cytokeratins consist of acidic proteins which are arranged in pairs of heterotypic keratin chains. Unlike its related family members, this smallest known acidic cytokeratin is not paired with a basic cytokeratin in epithelial cells. It is specifically expressed in the periderm, the transiently superficial layer that envelopes the developing epidermis. The type I cytokeratins are clustered in a region of chromosome 17q12-q21. |
