The GTPase KRAS Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1190) is specifically designed for research involving the KRAS protein, a key regulator of cell signaling pathways and implicated in cancer development. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the KRAS protein, it enables precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it a valuable tool for studies in oncology and molecular biology.KRAS, a member of the Ras family of GTPases, plays a crucial role in cell growth, differentiation, and survival by activating downstream signaling pathways.
Mutations in the KRAS gene are commonly found in various cancers, including pancreatic, colorectal, and lung cancer, making it an attractive target for therapeutic development. The GTPase KRAS Polyclonal Antibody allows for the exploration of KRAS function and regulation, providing valuable insights into cancer biology and potential treatment strategies.
Product Name:
KRAS Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 30-189 of human KRAS (NP_203524.1).
This gene, a Kirsten ras oncogene homolog from the mammalian ras gene family, encodes a protein that is a member of the small GTPase superfamily. A single amino acid substitution is responsible for an activating mutation. The transforming protein that results is implicated in various malignancies, including lung adenocarcinoma, mucinous adenoma, ductal carcinoma of the pancreas and colorectal carcinoma. Alternative splicing leads to variants encoding two isoforms that differ in the C-terminal region.
