The KPNA4 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2026) is a valuable tool for researchers studying KPNA4, a protein involved in nucleocytoplasmic transport. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity towards human samples and has been verified for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to the KPNA4 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types.KPNA4, also known as Karyopherin alpha 4, plays a crucial role in the transport of molecules into the nucleus, making it essential for various cellular processes such as gene expression and signaling. Dysregulation of KPNA4 has been implicated in diseases like cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target.
Investigating the function of KPNA4 can provide insights into disease mechanisms and inform the development of targeted treatments.Researchers in the fields of molecular biology, cell biology, and oncology can benefit from the use of the KPNA4 Polyclonal Antibody in their studies. By accurately detecting and analyzing KPNA4 levels, this antibody facilitates a deeper understanding of nucleocytoplasmic transport mechanisms and their implications for human health.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-240 of human KPNA4 (NP_002259.1).
The nuclear import of karyophilic proteins is directed by short amino acid sequences termed nuclear localization signals (NLSs). Karyopherins, or importins, are cytoplasmic proteins that recognize NLSs and dock NLS-containing proteins to the nuclear pore complex. The protein encoded by this gene shares the sequence similarity with Xenopus importin-alpha and Saccharomyces cerevisiae Srp1. This protein is found to interact with the NLSs of DNA helicase Q1 and SV40 T antigen.
