The KO Validated RALBP1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1140) is a robust tool for researchers studying RALBP1, a protein involved in cellular processes related to endocytosis, vesicle trafficking, and cell signaling. This antibody, generated in rabbits, has high specificity and sensitivity for detecting RALBP1 in various tissues and cell types, making it an ideal choice for Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications.RALBP1, also known as RLIP76, is a multifunctional protein with roles in intracellular transport and lipid metabolism.
Its involvement in cancer progression, drug resistance, and oxidative stress response has sparked interest in investigating its mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets. The validation of this antibody for knockout studies ensures reliable results in understanding the functions and regulation of RALBP1 in cellular pathways and disease processes.

RALBP1 plays a role in receptor-mediated endocytosis and is a downstream effector of the small GTP-binding protein RAL (see RALA; MIM 179550). Small G proteins, such as RAL, have GDP-bound inactive and GTP-bound active forms, which shift from the inactive to the active state through the action of RALGDS (MIM 601619), which in turn is activated by RAS (see HRAS; MIM 190020) (summary by Feig, 2003 [PubMed 12888294]).
