The KO Validated PNP Polyclonal Antibody (CAB19885) is a powerful tool for research involving the PNP protein, which plays a crucial role in purine metabolism and immune system regulation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, has been rigorously validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting and immunohistochemistry.PNP, also known as purine nucleoside phosphorylase, is a key enzyme involved in the breakdown of purine nucleosides, which are essential for DNA and RNA synthesis. Dysregulation of PNP activity has been linked to various diseases, including immune deficiencies and autoimmune disorders.
By targeting PNP with this specific antibody, researchers can gain insight into the protein's function and potential therapeutic applications. With its high reactivity and specificity for human samples, the KO Validated PNP Polyclonal Antibody is an invaluable tool for studies in immunology, oncology, and metabolic disorders. By enabling precise detection and analysis of PNP in various cell types, this antibody opens up new possibilities for understanding the role of purine metabolism in health and disease.
Product Name:
[KO Validated] PNP Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

CAB19885
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human,Mouse
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-289 of human PNP (NP_000261.2).
This gene encodes an enzyme which reversibly catalyzes the phosphorolysis of purine nucleosides. The enzyme is trimeric, containing three identical subunits. Mutations which result in nucleoside phosphorylase deficiency result in defective T-cell (cell-mediated) immunity but can also affect B-cell immunity and antibody responses. Neurologic disorders may also be apparent in patients with immune defects. A known polymorphism at aa position 51 that does not affect enzyme activity has been described. A pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 2.
Purification Method:
Affinity purification
Gene ID:
4860
Storage Buffer:
Store at -20℃. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.Buffer: PBS with 0.01% thimerosal,50% glycerol,pH7.3.
