The KO Validated MANF Polyclonal Antibody (CAB19923) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the role of MANF, a neuroprotective protein, in cellular protection and maintenance. This antibody, produced in rabbits, has been validated for use in knockout (KO) studies and is highly specific for detecting MANF protein in various cell types.MANF, also known as mesencephalic astrocyte-derived neurotrophic factor, plays a crucial role in neuronal development and survival, making it a promising target for research into neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. By targeting MANF with this antibody, researchers can investigate its function in cellular stress response and explore its therapeutic potential in treating neurological disorders.
The KO Validated MANF Polyclonal Antibody is ideal for use in Western blot and immunofluorescence applications, providing researchers with a versatile tool for studying MANF expression and localization in different experimental settings. With its high specificity and sensitivity, this antibody is a valuable asset for advancing our understanding of MANF biology and its potential for therapeutic intervention in neurodegenerative diseases.
Product Name:
[KO Validated] MANF Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB19923
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 25-182 of human ARMET/ARP/MANF (NP_006001.4).
The protein encoded by this gene is localized in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and golgi, and is also secreted. Reducing expression of this gene increases susceptibility to ER stress-induced death and results in cell proliferation. Activity of this protein is important in promoting the survival of dopaminergic neurons. The presence of polymorphisms in the N-terminal arginine-rich region, including a specific mutation that changes an ATG start codon to AGG, have been reported in a variety of solid tumors; however, these polymorphisms were later shown to exist in normal tissues and are thus no longer thought to be tumor-related.
