The HNRNPA2B1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1162) is a valuable tool for researchers studying HNRNPA2B1, a multifunctional protein involved in various cellular processes such as transcriptional regulation and RNA processing. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications.HNRNPA2B1, also known as heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A2/B1, is a key player in RNA metabolism and has been implicated in diseases such as cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. By targeting HNRNPA2B1, researchers can investigate its role in gene expression regulation, RNA splicing, and protein translation, providing insights into disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets.
With its high reactivity and specificity, the HNRNPA2B1 Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable tool for studying the function and regulation of HNRNPA2B1 in various biological contexts. Its application in Western blot analysis allows for the detection and quantification of HNRNPA2B1, offering valuable information for understanding its role in cellular physiology and disease pathology.
This gene belongs to the A/B subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). The hnRNPs are RNA binding proteins and they complex with heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA). These proteins are associated with pre-mRNAs in the nucleus and appear to influence pre-mRNA processing and other aspects of mRNA metabolism and transport. While all of the hnRNPs are present in the nucleus, some seem to shuttle between the nucleus and the cytoplasm. The hnRNP proteins have distinct nucleic acid binding properties. The protein encoded by this gene has two repeats of quasi-RRM domains that bind to RNAs. This gene has been described to generate two alternatively spliced transcript variants which encode different isoforms.
