The KO Validated FADD Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (CAB18044) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the protein FADD, a key regulator of apoptosis signaling pathways. This antibody, generated in rabbits, has been rigorously validated for use in Western blot applications and shows high reactivity with samples from knockout models. By specifically binding to FADD, researchers can accurately detect and analyze the protein in various cell types, providing insights into its role in cell death and survival mechanisms.FADD, or Fas-associated protein with death domain, is a crucial mediator of death receptor-induced apoptosis and is involved in multiple cellular processes, including immune response regulation and cancer development.
Understanding the function of FADD can lead to the identification of potential therapeutic targets for diseases such as cancer and autoimmune disorders. The KO Validated FADD Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for researchers investigating the molecular mechanisms of FADD and its implications in health and disease.

The protein encoded by this gene is an adaptor molecule that interacts with various cell surface receptors and mediates cell apoptotic signals. Through its C-terminal death domain, this protein can be recruited by TNFRSF6/Fas-receptor, tumor necrosis factor receptor, TNFRSF25, and TNFSF10/TRAIL-receptor, and thus it participates in the death signaling initiated by these receptors. Interaction of this protein with the receptors unmasks the N-terminal effector domain of this protein, which allows it to recruit caspase-8, and thereby activate the cysteine protease cascade. Knockout studies in mice also suggest the importance of this protein in early T cell development.
