The EIF4EBP1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1248) is specially designed for researchers studying EIF4EBP1, a key protein involved in the regulation of protein synthesis and cell growth. This antibody, produced through rabbit immunization, exhibits high reactivity against human samples and is validated for Western blot applications.EIF4EBP1, also known as eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E-binding protein 1, plays a crucial role in the control of translation initiation by binding to eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E (eIF4E). Dysregulation of EIF4EBP1 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurological disorders, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions.
The EIF4EBP1 Polyclonal Antibody enables the detection and analysis of EIF4EBP1 in different cell types, providing valuable insights for research in fields such as oncology, neurobiology, and molecular biology. By understanding the role of EIF4EBP1 in disease pathogenesis, researchers can develop novel treatments targeted at modulating protein synthesis and cell growth pathways.
This gene encodes one member of a family of translation repressor proteins. The protein directly interacts with eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E (eIF4E), which is a limiting component of the multisubunit complex that recruits 40S ribosomal subunits to the 5' end of mRNAs. Interaction of this protein with eIF4E inhibits complex assembly and represses translation. This protein is phosphorylated in response to various signals including UV irradiation and insulin signaling, resulting in its dissociation from eIF4E and activation of mRNA translation.
