The KO Validated DFFA Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1032) is a powerful tool for researchers studying the DFFA protein, a key player in programmed cell death (apoptosis) pathways. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting and immunohistochemistry. The DFFA protein, also known as DNA fragmentation factor subunit alpha, is essential for DNA fragmentation during apoptosis, making it a critical target for studying cell death processes. By using the CAB1032 antibody, researchers can accurately detect and quantify DFFA expression in different cell types and tissues, providing valuable insights into apoptosis regulation and its implications in diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and immune dysfunctions.
Overall, the KO Validated DFFA Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable tool for researchers looking to deepen their understanding of apoptosis mechanisms and explore potential therapeutic strategies targeting DFFA in various pathological conditions.

Apoptosis is a cell death process that removes toxic and/or useless cells during mammalian development. The apoptotic process is accompanied by shrinkage and fragmentation of the cells and nuclei and degradation of the chromosomal DNA into nucleosomal units. DNA fragmentation factor (DFF) is a heterodimeric protein of 40-kD (DFFB) and 45-kD (DFFA) subunits. DFFA is the substrate for caspase-3 and triggers DNA fragmentation during apoptosis. DFF becomes activated when DFFA is cleaved by caspase-3. The cleaved fragments of DFFA dissociate from DFFB, the active component of DFF. DFFB has been found to trigger both DNA fragmentation and chromatin condensation during apoptosis. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.
