The KO Validated CD44 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12410) is specifically designed for research involving CD44, a cell-surface glycoprotein involved in cell adhesion and migration. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly reactive with human samples and has been validated for use in various research applications, including Western blot and immunohistochemistry.CD44 is known to play a key role in cell-cell interactions, cell adhesion, and migration, making it an important target for studies in cancer research, stem cell biology, and immunology. With its ability to bind to the CD44 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis of CD44 expression in different cell types and tissues.
Understanding the function and regulation of CD44 is essential for unraveling its involvement in various disease processes, including cancer metastasis, inflammation, and stem cell differentiation. The KO Validated CD44 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12410) provides researchers with a reliable tool for investigating the role of CD44 in health and disease, advancing our knowledge of its potential as a therapeutic target in various pathologies.

The protein encoded by this gene is a cell-surface glycoprotein involved in cell-cell interactions, cell adhesion and migration. It is a receptor for hyaluronic acid (HA) and can also interact with other ligands, such as osteopontin, collagens, and matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). This protein participates in a wide variety of cellular functions including lymphocyte activation, recirculation and homing, hematopoiesis, and tumor metastasis. Transcripts for this gene undergo complex alternative splicing that results in many functionally distinct isoforms, however, the full length nature of some of these variants has not been determined. Alternative splicing is the basis for the structural and functional diversity of this protein, and may be related to tumor metastasis.
