The KO Validated Caspase-3 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16794) is an essential tool for studies involving caspase-3, a key enzyme involved in apoptosis (programmed cell death). This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific and validated for knockout (KO) cell lines, providing reliable results in experiments such as Western blot and immunohistochemistry.Caspase-3 is a crucial player in the execution phase of apoptosis, cleaving various cellular proteins and ultimately leading to cell death. Dysregulation of caspase-3 activity has been implicated in a wide range of diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and autoimmune conditions.
By targeting caspase-3 with this validated antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into its role in these pathologies and potentially discover new therapeutic approaches.Whether investigating cell signaling pathways, drug discovery, or disease mechanisms, the KO Validated Caspase-3 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16794) offers reliable and specific detection of caspase-3, enabling researchers to advance their understanding of apoptotic processes and their implications in human health and disease.
The protein encoded by this gene is a cysteine-aspartic acid protease that plays a central role in the execution-phase of cell apoptosis. The encoded protein cleaves and inactivates poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase while it cleaves and activates sterol regulatory element binding proteins as well as caspases 6, 7, and 9. This protein itself is processed by caspases 8, 9, and 10. It is the predominant caspase involved in the cleavage of amyloid-beta 4A precursor protein, which is associated with neuronal death in Alzheimer's disease.
