The ANXA6 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB18069) is a valuable tool for researchers studying ANXA6, a member of the annexin family of proteins involved in various cellular processes. This rabbit polyclonal antibody is highly specific and reactive with human samples, making it suitable for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the ANXA6 protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of ANXA6 in different cell types, making it ideal for studies in cell biology, signal transduction, and cancer research.ANXA6 is known to play a role in various cellular functions, including membrane trafficking, calcium signaling, and cell growth regulation.
Its involvement in these processes makes it a potential target for studying diseases associated with dysregulated cell signaling, such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and neurodegenerative disorders. Understanding the functions of ANXA6 is crucial for unraveling its role in cellular physiology and pathology, providing insights into potential therapeutic strategies for related diseases.

Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-250 of human Annexin A6/Annexin VI (NP_001146.2).
Annexin VI belongs to a family of calcium-dependent membrane and phospholipid binding proteins. Several members of the annexin family have been implicated in membrane-related events along exocytotic and endocytotic pathways. The annexin VI gene is approximately 60 kbp long and contains 26 exons. It encodes a protein of about 68 kDa that consists of eight 68-amino acid repeats separated by linking sequences of variable lengths. It is highly similar to human annexins I and II sequences, each of which contain four such repeats. Annexin VI has been implicated in mediating the endosome aggregation and vesicle fusion in secreting epithelia during exocytosis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
