The KO Validated ADA Polyclonal Antibody (CAB18029) is a powerful tool for researchers studying adenosine deaminase (ADA), an enzyme involved in purine metabolism and immune regulation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific to ADA and has been validated for knockout (KO) studies, ensuring accurate and reliable results.ADA is an essential enzyme that plays a key role in the immune system by regulating levels of adenosine, a signaling molecule with diverse effects on immune cells. Dysregulation of ADA activity has been implicated in various diseases, including immunodeficiency, cancer, and autoimmune disorders.
The KO Validated ADA Polyclonal Antibody enables researchers to accurately assess ADA expression and activity in different cell types and tissues, facilitating a better understanding of its role in disease pathogenesis. With its high specificity and validated performance in KO studies, the ADA Polyclonal Antibody (CAB18029) is an invaluable tool for investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying immune dysregulation and developing potential therapeutic interventions targeting ADA in immune-related diseases.
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-363 of human Adenosine Deaminase (Adenosine Deaminase (ADA)) (NP_000013.2).
This gene encodes an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of adenosine to inosine in the purine catabolic pathway. Various mutations have been described for this gene and have been linked to human diseases related to impaired immune function such as severe combined immunodeficiency disease (SCID) which is the result of a deficiency in the ADA enzyme. In ADA-deficient individuals there is a marked depletion of T, B, and NK lymphocytes, and consequently, a lack of both humoral and cellular immunity. Conversely, elevated levels of this enzyme are associated with congenital hemolytic anemia.
