The KLKB1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB13322) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the KLKB1 protein, a key component of the kallikrein-kinin system involved in blood coagulation and inflammation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.KLKB1, also known as plasma kallikrein, is a serine protease that plays a crucial role in the activation of the coagulation, fibrinolysis, and kinin pathways. Dysregulation of KLKB1 activity has been implicated in various diseases, including hereditary angioedema and thrombosis.
The ability to detect and quantify KLKB1 expression in different cell types makes this antibody an essential tool for research in vascular biology, hemostasis, and inflammatory disorders.By using the KLKB1 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the function and regulation of the KLKB1 protein, ultimately advancing our understanding of its role in health and disease. This antibody is a valuable asset for studies investigating potential therapeutic targets for conditions influenced by the kallikrein-kinin system.
Product Name:
KLKB1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit
Reactivity:
Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 391-500 of KLKB1 (NP_000883.2).
This gene encodes a glycoprotein that participates in the surface-dependent activation of blood coagulation, fibrinolysis, kinin generation and inflammation. The encoded preproprotein present in plasma as a non-covalent complex with high molecular weight kininogen undergoes proteolytic processing mediated by activated coagulation factor XII to generate a disulfide-linked, heterodimeric serine protease comprised of heavy and light chains. Certain mutations in this gene cause prekallikrein deficiency. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
