The Kallikrein 10 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6398) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the Kallikrein 10 protein, which is implicated in various physiological processes, including prostate cancer development and progression. This antibody, raised in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to Kallikrein 10, researchers can detect and analyze this protein in different cell types, making it an ideal choice for studies in cancer research and biomarker discovery.
Kallikrein 10, also known as normal epithelial cell-specific 1, is a member of the kallikrein-related peptidase family and is overexpressed in prostate cancer tissues. Its involvement in the pathogenesis of prostate cancer makes it a promising candidate for targeted therapeutic approaches and diagnostic tools. Investigating the role of Kallikrein 10 in cancer progression and its potential as a biomarker could lead to the development of novel strategies for cancer treatment and management.

Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases having diverse physiological functions. Growing evidence suggests that many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and some have potential as novel cancer and other disease biomarkers. This gene is one of the fifteen kallikrein subfamily members located in a cluster on chromosome 19. Its encoded protein is secreted and may play a role in suppression of tumorigenesis in breast and prostate cancers. Alternate splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein.
