Description
KLF1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB24503)
The KLF1 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the KLF1 protein, a key transcription factor involved in the regulation of erythroid development and differentiation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the KLF1 protein, this antibody allows for the precise detection and analysis of KLF1 expression in a variety of cell types.KLF1, also known as EKLF, plays a crucial role in the development of red blood cells and the maintenance of hemoglobin synthesis.
Dysregulation of KLF1 has been linked to various hematological disorders, making it an important target for research in the fields of hematology and transfusion medicine. Studying the function of KLF1 can provide insights into the pathophysiology of conditions such as thalassemia, sickle cell disease, and other anemias.By using the KLF1 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can further their understanding of the role of KLF1 in erythropoiesis and hematopoiesis, ultimately leading to the development of new therapeutic interventions for individuals affected by blood disorders.

This gene encodes a hematopoietic-specific transcription factor that induces high-level expression of adult beta-globin and other erythroid genes. The zinc-finger protein binds to the DNA sequence CCACACCCT found in the beta hemoglobin promoter. Heterozygous loss-of-function mutations in this gene result in the dominant In(Lu) blood phenotype.
