The KDR Polyclonal Antibody (CAB11127) is a valuable tool for researchers studying KDR, also known as vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2). This cell surface receptor plays a crucial role in angiogenesis, the process of forming new blood vessels from existing ones. The antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.By binding specifically to the KDR protein, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of KDR expression in various cell types.
This makes it an ideal choice for studies in vascular biology, cancer research, and other fields where angiogenesis is a key process. Understanding the function of KDR is essential for developing strategies to target angiogenesis in diseases like cancer, diabetic retinopathy, and cardiovascular disorders.Overall, the KDR Polyclonal Antibody (CAB11127) provides researchers with a reliable tool for investigating the role of KDR in angiogenesis and its potential as a therapeutic target in various diseases.

Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a major growth factor for endothelial cells. This gene encodes one of the two receptors of the VEGF. This receptor, known as kinase insert domain receptor, is a type III receptor tyrosine kinase. It functions as the main mediator of VEGF-induced endothelial proliferation, survival, migration, tubular morphogenesis and sprouting. The signalling and trafficking of this receptor are regulated by multiple factors, including Rab GTPase, P2Y purine nucleotide receptor, integrin alphaVbeta3, T-cell protein tyrosine phosphatase, etc.. Mutations of this gene are implicated in infantile capillary hemangiomas.
