The KDM2A Polyclonal Antibody (CAB18636) is a valuable tool for researchers studying KDM2A, a histone demethylase involved in epigenetic regulation and gene expression. This antibody, developed in rabbits, demonstrates high specificity and sensitivity towards human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the KDM2A protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in various cell types, providing insights into the role of KDM2A in cellular processes.KDM2A, also known as lysine-specific demethylase 2A, is a key player in chromatin remodeling and transcriptional regulation, impacting cell proliferation, differentiation, and development.
Its dysregulation has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and developmental disorders, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions. By studying the functions of KDM2A, researchers can uncover potential pathways for disease treatment and management, shedding light on its involvement in various cellular pathways.

This gene encodes a member of the F-box protein family which is characterized by an approximately 40 amino acid motif, the F-box. The F-box proteins constitute one of the four subunits of ubiquitin protein ligase complex called SCFs (SKP1-cullin-F-box), which function in phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination. The F-box proteins are divided into 3 classes: Fbws containing WD-40 domains, Fbls containing leucine-rich repeats, and Fbxs containing either different protein-protein interaction modules or no recognizable motifs. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the Fbls class and, in addition to an F-box, contains at least six highly degenerated leucine-rich repeats. This family member plays a role in epigenetic silencing. It nucleates at CpG islands and specifically demethylates both mono- and di-methylated lysine-36 of histone H3. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
