The KD Validated RAF1 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the RAF1 protein, a key player in the MAPK signaling pathway. This antibody, derived from rabbits, has been rigorously tested and validated for use in Western blot applications, ensuring accurate and reliable results.RAF1 is a serine/threonine kinase that is involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. Dysregulation of RAF1 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, making it an attractive target for therapeutic intervention.
The KD Validated RAF1 Polyclonal Antibody specifically binds to RAF1, allowing for precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types. With its high reactivity and specificity for human samples, this antibody is an essential tool for researchers investigating the role of RAF1 in cancer biology, cell signaling, and drug development. By understanding the function of RAF1 at the molecular level, scientists can uncover new insights into disease mechanisms and potentially identify novel therapeutic targets.
This gene is the cellular homolog of viral raf gene (v-raf). The encoded protein is a MAP kinase kinase kinase (MAP3K), which functions downstream of the Ras family of membrane associated GTPases to which it binds directly. Once activated, the cellular RAF1 protein can phosphorylate to activate the dual specificity protein kinases MEK1 and MEK2, which in turn phosphorylate to activate the serine/threonine specific protein kinases, ERK1 and ERK2. Activated ERKs are pleiotropic effectors of cell physiology and play an important role in the control of gene expression involved in the cell division cycle, apoptosis, cell differentiation and cell migration. Mutations in this gene are associated with Noonan syndrome 5 and LEOPARD syndrome 2.
